In the Pink of Health is a group of inspired women who change
lives by raising funds to reduce the incidence of breast and
ovarian cancer and assist survivors in their journey.
Memorial Hermann and In the Pink of Health are grateful for ongoing community support. Since 2001, the event
has generated over $4 million with the funds focused on technology, prevention, community outreach and
education, all to reduce the incidence of breast and ovarian cancer and to support those fighting cancer.
Here is how the past generous donations have supported our mission:
Free mammograms to underserved women. We offer our partner, The Interfaith Community Clinic,
unlimited referrals to our Breast Care Center for free screening mammograms to women who could not
otherwise afford it. We also work with local physicians to encourage them to refer their patients for a
screening who are unable to afford mammograms.
Investment of $1 million in state-of-the-art Tomosynthesis technology that detects breast cancer up to 3
years earlier than a standard mammogram.
Support to patients along their cancer journey by providing seed money totaling $1.1 million for
CANOPY, a cancer survivorship center, and by providing extensive resources and materials for newly
diagnosed cancer patients.
We appreciate your continued support!
